So I've been looking for this manga for a while. It starts with a guy(college age) passing a baseball with a kid , seems to be his friend , and then the kids mother comes in and talks about how thankful she is that after her husbands death the guy helped keep her son happy.
the son says how he's joining a baseball team and that the mc doesn't have to teach the kid anymore. The mc is sad he wont be able to see the lady anymore.
later the kid somehow arranges for the lady to show up at the mc's apartment and they end up doing it. its pretty straightforward vanilla
